Bio
Shelley’s musical journey is woven with threads of rebellion, creativity, and a deep love of music. From childhood; absorbing the energy of punk, power of rock, and the free-spirited soundscapes of the 90’s.
She plays at some of the most established and energetic venues in Manchester. Her sets a journey through 50 years disco and house whilst uncovering new world creations. Expect tunes from the less heard pockets of her extensive record collection.

The project of Mark Pilkington
Dr. Mark Iain Pilkington (none prescribing) is a composer and performer of electroacoustic music. His practice encapsulates both sound and image to extend spatial imaginings between real and virtual space. The coupling of sound and image are applied to electroacoustic composition, installation, and screen-based works. Forging immaterial and creative labor through a network of interwoven and augmented territories, his work increasingly queries the way operations carry great critical and creative potential. Seeking new modes of critical engagement that incorporate multiple narratives through non-digital and digital aesthetic informs the direction of his pedagogy. His theoretical research focuses on the relationship between artistic genres and their respective aesthetic theories with reference to electroacoustic music, sound synthesis, visual music, coding, philosophy, and film. His practice especially focuses on audio-visual composition using real and virtual entities to explore time and space. His work has been performed, exhibited and screened at conferences and festivals globally. ICMC, ARS Electronica, ZKM | Karlsruhe, MANTIS festival and the Open Circuit Festival. Interdisciplinary work is carried out collaboratively with artists and composers.
Director of Thought Universe Music releasing and promoting music recorded at Thought Universe EMS, Manchester. Thought Universe is also the name of Mark’s solo beat based electronic music.
His drawings and paintings provide material for his electronic sound compositions. He will bring a few.

Headliner John Tree
One of our all time favourite DJs. Long time Free Rotation man.
John Tree is delighted to be playing with PDT again. Known mainly for founding and running BeatHerder’s Perfumed Garden venue for fourteen years working alongside his pals, his late night deep-bubbling house and techno DJ sets are always well received.
He started out in the late seventies playing percussion in all manner of misfit bands, and he is still very active in the live music sphere playing largely latin percussion in Samba and other dance bands, but it’s his love of house and techno, finding those irresistible atmospheric grooves, and creating surprising journeys on the dance floor that motivates his DJ instincts. This has led him to bring his bag of tricks to numerous festivals, igniting dance floors at Glastonbury, Bearded Theory, Alchemy, Solfest, Musicport, as well as Beatherder. He has rubbed shoulders on the decks or warmed up for such luminaries as Adrian Sherwood, DR Alex Patterson, Andrew Weatherall, Don Letts, to name but a few.
