Príncipe ist ein portugiesisches Plattenlabel, das sich dem zeitgenössischen Clubsound aus den Vororten Lissabons verschrieben hat und ihm eine Plattform und weltweit mehr Gehör verschafft. Die Künstler*innen sind zum großen Teil in Portugal geborene Nachfahren der westafrikanischen Diaspora, deren energiegeladene Produktionen genauso von House und Techno, aber vor allem von komplexen Rhythmen des Kuduro, Batida, Kizomba, Funaná und Tarrachinha beeinflusst sind. An diesem Abend wird die Seele von Príncipe zum einen von DJ N Fox repräsentiert, der als Vorreiter bereits im Jahr 2013 mit seiner Debut EP „O Meu Estilo“ den Sound portugiesischer Sub- und Jugendkultur aus den Vorstädten in die Clubs Europas beförderte. Zum anderen steht DJ Firmeza hinter den Decks, der stilprägend ist für den Post-Kuduro-Stil der afrikanischen Diaspora und für seine Vorliebe für hypnotische perkussive Rhythmen bekannt ist. Gemeinsam werden die beiden das Sommerfestival mit einem sechsstündigen Extended-DJ-Set aufmischen. Die Nacht abrunden wird das Hamburger Label und Produzenten-Duo Space Drum Meditation (Liem & Eddie Ness), die als special guest die in München lebende Lindsay Wang aka Polygonia mit einem mystischenLive-Set zwischen Downtempo und Ambient geladen haben.

Príncipe is a Portuguese label dedicated to the contemporary club sound of Lisbon’s suburbs, giving it a platform and greater voice worldwide. The artists are mostly Portugueseborn descendants of the West African diaspora, whose energetic productions are influenced by house and techno, but above all by the complex rhythms of Kuduro, Batida, Kizomba, Funaná and Tarrachinha. On this evening, Príncipe is represented by DJ N Fox, who in 2013 brought the sound of Portuguese subculture and youth culture from the suburbs to the clubs of Europe with his debut EP “O Meu Estilo”. And furthermore by DJ Firmeza: style-defining for the post-kuduro style of the African diaspora he is known for his preference for hypnotic percussive rhythms. Together, the two will stir up the Summer Festival with an extended DJ set. Support comes from Hamburg-based label and producer duo Space Drum Meditation (Liem & Eddie Ness), who have invited Munich-based Lindsay Wang aka Polygonia as a special guest with a mystical live set spanning between downtempo and ambient.
