Join the Etobicoke Master Gardeners (EMG) and the Humber Arboretum for a free workshop on pruning. We will take a hands-on look at pruning fundamentals, learn about the importance of pruning, proper pruning techniques and some of the common tools and tool care. Specific examples of what plants to prune and when to prune them will be demonstrated. You are encouraged to bring in your favourite secateurs (pruners), if you want to sharpen them and practice a cut or two!There will be an optional short tour afterwards for those who are interested.

Where: Inside the Centre for Urban Ecology at the Humber Arboretum
The Humber Arboretum is at the back of Humber Polytechnic North Campus, 205 Humber College Blvd, in North Etobicoke. The Centre for Urban Ecology is the glass building with the red door. (See the location on Google Maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/HzuSxdFEY9p7AANQ7 )
