About this Event
About
Join us at the Technology Resource Center (TRC) as we partner with the South Bend Connectivity Coalition and Comcast to promote the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a new federal initiative providing $14.2 billion in discounts to connect low-income families to the internet.
Through participating providers, eligible customers can receive a $30 monthly discount on broadband service and a $100 discount on a device through ACP. Uptake of this program is low in our area, and we are looking to work with organizations on the ground to connect their clients to these resources.
Objectives
• Learn about ACP's benefits, eligibility requirements, how to sign up, and participating providers in our area.
• Connect with community organizations to increase ACP signups and digital access in South Bend.
Signup
Interested organizations, or individuals representing nonprofits, libraries, government entities, schools, housing organizations, or other organizations working with low-income families can RSVP to our event by purchasing a (free) ticket for each participant.
