ProudSouth is an annual staple for Pride in Montgomery, and this year we've moved our date from June National Pride Month, to October Montgomery Official Pride Month to align with our friends and event partners over at Montgomery Pride United to launch their programming for the month. Connect with them in every way you can and support their work, attend their community meetings and events, and let's keep growing the queer community in Montgomery. We are stronger together!
Introducing two new DJs to you! You might have seen Andrea Really smashing it at the Milk & Honey Parties in Birmingham with her ecstatic and infectious selections of house, electro, techno, breaks, and beyond. She's the real deal! Catch her headlining this Saturday! Also new to the DJ booth, LangstonX, a face many of you will recognize.. But you'll have to come to find out whom! And of course, Gravity mainstay Entropy Ray will be flexing his creative wit with a diverse selection of tunes to move your body and your mind.
This one is all dance music all night! We are grateful for an eager and cool venue in Hilltop Public House, but we felt the tight quarters would not be conducive to Drag Performances or live art this time. Famous queer house music orginator Frankie Knuckles once said, "The DANCERS are the real performers." So this one is all about YOU and all about the music. YOU are the performers! Let's boogie!
