PROUD MARY:
Proud Mary is the world’s queerest tribute to the much-loved ‘60s-‘70s rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band performs CCR’s many hits, including “Fortunate Son,” “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on the Corner,” and, of course, “Proud Mary.” Plus many more!
Proud Mary is a new project brought to you by members of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most popular tribute bands and original rock groups. Led by the soulful voice of lead singer, McKenzie Fulkerson-Jones (they/them), the group serves up a playful yet fierce take on CCR’s music, with a side of rainbows, tassels and glitter. Joined by Linda Moody (she/her) on guitar, Tori Fulkerson-Jones (she/her) on bass and Jai Bird (she/her) on drums, Proud Mary will put a spell on you at their “Queerwater Revival.”
Proud Mary delivers fresh performances of CCR’s greatest hits and welcomes everyone to join in. Between the iconic guitar licks you expect and some surprising and interactive theatrical elements, you’re sure to be on your feet, grooving and belting along to every song.
LINDSAY EVERLY:
A suitcase - the start of something new, often the end of something old. Collections of stories can be created, from using only one. Americana music at its roots, Lindsay Everly’s songs tell tales of the traveler - in foreign lands, small cafe’s, on the cold streets of Chicago, in the golden hills of Fairfax, California - where she currently calls home. Pedal steel, Hammond B3 organ, mandolin, acoustic guitar, live drums and haunting folk vocal melodies combine to create music that feels like a nostalgic, distant memory. Her musical influences include Alison Krauss and Union Station, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Jo Dee Mesina and Nickel Creek.
