In a few weeks, Flagship is hosting a Protest Song Singalong. There's a lot to be angry about, there's a lot that needs to change, there's a lot of ways to imagine a world that's different and better.Singing songs about it won't change anything if that's all we do, but it sure feels good to sing together, and building community, getting to know your neighbors, and creative acts of defiance are some of the things that authoritarians the most.
The idea is that folks will sign up to play a protest song - an original, a cover, or a rewriting of a classic - ideally with a familiar tune or catchy chorus that everyone else can join in on.
