Join us to protest the 150th Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown, outside of Pimlico Race Track. Horses are dying all over the US in the name of “sport”. Roughly 2,000 horses are killed every year at US tracks while training, racing or are found dead in their stall. For over a hundred years, these deaths have gone unnoticed. But now, thanks to Horseracing Wrongs, their deaths are being exposed to media and to the public. Horseracing is solitary confinement, whipping, mouth bits, tongue ties, painful injuries and slaughter. Horseracing is animal abuse from start to finish.
This event is rain or shine.
Please bring your megaphone if you have one. I have a lot of posters but you can always make your own if you would like to. I will also provide ear plugs. Please bring water to stay hydrated.
Bring a friend and let’s get LOUD for the horses!
*** Protest Area/Parking : We will be protesting on the corner of W. Northern Parkway & Pimlico Rd.
