Protest for Zero Immigration Until Housing Affordability is Restored

For the last 29 years, successive federal governments have imposed an extreme immigration policy that has been devastating for ordinary Australians. Among many issues, it has made housing impossible to afford, and severely overburdened our healthcare and transport systems.
Despite surveys consistently showing that the overwhelming majority of Australians support lower immigration, the federal government has instead continued to increase the immigration rate. This has now reached unprecedented levels, with the Albanese government importing over 1.2 million immigrants in the past 3 years.
However, it is possible for us to stop this. The governments of other Western countries have also subjected their citizens to decades of uncalibrated mass immigration, but in the face of public outcry, have been forced to end this policy. For example, Canada has now halted immigration, and is already seeing decreases in rental costs and house prices.
The purpose of this protest is to achieve the same outcome for Australia. Specifically, we are calling on all political parties to adapt a simple policy: Zero Immigration Until Housing Affordability is Restored. Further details of this policy are given in the Resources section. We are also sending a message ahead of the Federal Election: We will not vote for any party that fails to implement this common-sense measure.
To make our voices heard, we must ensure that as many people as possible attend this protest. So please share with friends, family and colleagues. If you encounter anyone who does not understand why Zero Immigration is necessary to solve the housing crisis, please refer them to the links in the Resources section.
Logistically, the protest will consist of a mass gathering at Sydney Town Hall. This will last for approximately 2 hours, and will likely include some simple chants. The aim of these is to provide sound bites that can be broadcast by the media, which will then further spread our message.
Lastly, please note that the date of this event is a placeholder, as Facebook requires a date in order to create an event. Once we have reached 1,000 attendees, the NSW police will be contacted, and the exact date will be finalised.
