Indianapolis Democrats still continue to neglect and shun the Near Eastside while they also side with pro-charter school groups that want to defund IPS. Enough.
We want to push back, make our voices heard, and demand Indy Dems do the right thing: Invite Jesse Brown back into the Democratic caucus, appoint him to 6 committees, and stop chiseling away at Indianapolis Public Schools.
This is a family friendly event. We invite you to bring your children, bring your signs and noisemakers for the march, pack a picnic for when we arrive at the City-County Council bulding, and-- most importantly--have fun exercising your first amendment rights.
We meet at 5pm at Fletcher Park. March begins at 5:30. We arrive at city hall around 6:30. The City-County Council meeting begins at 7pm.
