PROTEINS OF MAGIC
Multi-instrumentalist and unique multi-format artist Kelly Sherrod performs under the moniker Proteins of Magic. Splitting her time between NZ and Nashville, Tennessee, she most recently played bass and toured across Europe and America with Grammy and Academy Award winner Ryan Bingham. Following the release of three individual art gallery collections on canvas in recent years, she made a post-pandemic move back to New Zealand to focus on her debut solo project, Proteins of Magic. Winning “most promising female musician award” at the NZ Rockquest in high school, Kelly went on to study at Elam art school before making her debut into the NZ music scene fronting Punches with James Duncan (2003-09) and playing bass with Dimmer’s Shayne Carter (2007-09), which also included touring America with The Brian Jonestown Massacre. It was in 2009 when Kelly moved to Nashville, devoting herself to painting, recording in her home studio and touring. Kelly takes over the stage with ambient layered loops of vocals and flute, adding rhythmic breath patterns, while triggering samples on her keyboard and playing piano. A living breathing performance, it morphs and transforms with every show. Proteins Of Magic releases their debut album August 13th.

AMAMELIA
Amamelia is the musical project of Amelia Berry, a musician and songwriter currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Amamelia's music combines breaks normally found in Jungle & Drum & Bass with a sugary synthetic pop sensibility. Outside of Amamelia, Amelia can be found creating ambient soundscapes in caves as Old Chips, playing in queerbo pop-punk band Babyteeth, indulging in the happy hardcore of Van Staden & Böhm (VSB), as well as performing as one half of synth pop duo Fimo and dungeon synth outfit Gayblade. In the past she's been the mastermind behind the romantic jangle of Polyester (fka as Kip McGrath), and one third of queer DJ trio PWB. Amelia also has a long running history with 95bFM, where she is a weekly guest on the Breakfast show, and has previously hosted their illustrious chart show, the 95bFM Top 10.
