Protecting Pollinators in Farms and Gardens: Join Kaitlin Haase, Pollinator Conservation Specialist with the Xerces Society, for a presentation on the risks to pollinators and how we can support them. Learn about the diversity and importance of pollinators and beneficial insects in our farms, gardens, and natural landscapes. Kaitlin will share the core elements of pollinator conservation and what steps you can take to create quality habitat for pollinators and beneficial insects. Kaitlin Haase, the Xerces Society's Pollinator Conservation Specialist for the Southwest, works to create climate-resilient, connected pollinator habitats in the Southwest region. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 2020, she collaborates with public and private land managers in New Mexico and the desert Southwest to promote pollinator-friendly practices for landscaping, gardening, and open space restoration.
