About this Event
This training equips parents, caregivers, and guardians with essential information and practical strategies to help keep children safe during the holiday season. As families attend gatherings, travel, host visitors, and adjust routines, children are often exposed to new environments, unfamiliar adults and peers, and increased time in digital spaces. Without intentional planning, these changes can introduce additional safety considerations.
Participants will explore holiday-specific safety strategies, including how to assess seasonal programs and events, set and reinforce boundaries with extended family and guests, and support children through changes in routine. The session also addresses digital safety, online activity, bullying, and potential risks from both adults and peers during periods of increased screen time.
Caregivers will leave with practical tools, conversation starters, and increased confidence to create safe, supportive, and predictable environments for children—at family gatherings, during travel, at home, and online.
