In 2024 Tasmanians reported losing over $5,000,000 to scammers, with Tasmania’s most vulnerable accounting for more than 65% of reported losses.
Join Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) and Libraries Tasmania for an information session during Seniors Week 2025. This information session aims to educate Tasmanians on how to identify and protect themselves from scams.
Learn about the different types of scams, recognising signs of scams and what to do if you have been targeted by a scammer.
Join us at one of our free sessions and learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from scams.

- Don't come if you're unwell
- Let us know if you can't come - we'll cancel your booking so others can register instead.
Accessibility details:
- Tell us if you need assistance or if you'll be accompanied by a support person
- There are two designated accessible parking spaces next to the library, with a 2-hour parking limit
- The library has a wheelchair accessible elevator
- An accessible restroom is available
- Parking is available in Melville Street, across the road from the Library.
