Get your hands dirty for a day helping the Stream Team, a group of a parents who are working with the students and teachers of Owhiro Bay School to restore their local stream. As the only un-piped stream on the south coast and one that empties into the Taputeranga Marine Reserve it's a precious resource for the wider community as well. The area was once entirely covered with blackberry vines and now has a thriving native plant community. Activities include riparian planting releasing and weeding the current plants as well as some litter collection.
