The Prostate Cancer Community - We're now here for you in Herefordshire.Did you know that 52,000 men a year get diagnosed with Prostate Cancer.
Are you, or is perhaps your father, brother, uncle, or grandad dealing with prostate cancer? Is a partner feeling the pressure too?
We've been there, we understand, we are patients ‘united’. We know that talking and sharing and giving useful feedback to them is vital. Coordinating and improving communications with the Hospitals and GPs within the NHS also needs to happen.
So, we have created a new Herefordshire Prostate Cancer Support Group.
PLEASE COME ALONG TO THE FIRST MEETING ON JUNE 27TH at 10.30am at Die Koffee Pot, Bridge Street, Hereford HR4 9DG. Easy parking nearby.
We also need offers of help in forming a small operational team. We would like at least one prostate cancer volunteer from each of Hereford, Ross, Hay-on-Wye, Leominster, Bromyard, and Ledbury to help coordinate at local venues and help us plan run these sessions professionally. Thinkers, shapers, listeners, and doers.
Where other support groups already exist in the county, we are collaborative, and will be happy to share ideas and assist where we can.

• We share feedback with Wye Valley NHS to help them plan ahead
• We ensure Herefordshire Employers Well-Being Programmes work well
• We share the latest news on Prostate Health Check approaches
• We discuss GPs’ Vital Role
• We plan for Feedback Surveys to ensure we listen well and prioritise actions
• We improve awareness of links to other Sources of Information and Help.
