About this Event
The promotion of a positive safeguarding culture is the overarching theme of this years conference as we try to raise the profile of safeguarding as a positive occurence, and continue to ensure it is embedded in our congregations.
Through hosting this event, we aim to give volunteer safeguarding trainers and safeguarding presbytery contacts an opportunity to learn from professionals in the field.
Speakers will include Alex O'Donnell, qualified social worker and expert speaker on managing those who pose a risk and MAPPA. Delegates will also hear from staff from the safeguarding service, including our safeguarding service manager Deborah Blackhurst. Full details of the agenda will be available in due course.
There is 70 spaces for the full day event and 25 rooms available for the Friday night. Approximate timings for the event will be 9.40am to 3:45pm (latest).

£110: Delegate place for day conference and dinner the night before, bed and breakfast – 1st/2nd November 2024, Stirling Court Hotel
T he Safeguarding Administration team will be in touch regarding payment and provide full details of how this will be done. Payment will be required in full before the event.
We have aimed to subsidise the event cost as much as possible.
