PROJECT STAGE ACT I: The Thirty-Three Little Pigs ??7pm July 12 & 13!
By Brian D. Taylor
Directed by Kim McAtee
In this new take on the famous children’s tale, the big bad wolf is once again on the hunt for a tasty meal. He happens upon a wonderful meadow filled with juicy little pigs. He’s about to find out, though, that these pigs aren’t your average swine!
Kimberly McAtee, a recently retired elementary teacher from the East Aurora School District, directs the Act I program for children entering grades 4-6 this fall. Both her son and daughter participated in the program when they were young. “Some of these children have never been on stage before and were nervous about auditioning, but theater allows kids who wouldn’t think about speaking in front of a class to gain confidence. This group has made friends so easily. It really brings out the best in everyone,” she said.
