Project WILD is an interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education program emphasizing wildlife. The program is designed for educators of kindergarten through 12th grade students. Project WILD capitalizes on the natural interest that children and adults have in wildlife by providing hands-on activities that enhance student learning in all subject and skill areas.Water in all its forms is one of the most dramatic of today's arenas in which informed, responsible, and constructive actions are needed. Aquatic WILD uses the simple, successful format of Project WILD activities and professional training workshops but with an emphasis on aquatic wildlife and aquatic ecology.
A free Project WILD and Aquatic WILD K-12 Curriculum & Activity Guide is available to formal and nonformal educators who attend this training.
For additional information and workshop registration, please contact Colleen Muylaert at [email protected] or call the Conservation Center at 352-754-6722.
