About this Event
is a portable lab for encouraging curiosity, reflection and speculative approaches to sleep in the past, present and future. Everyone sleeps and is affected by sleep, but we don’t all sleep the same. Sleep inequalities are associated with differences in class, gender and environmental factors. Project Somnolence utilises methodologies from English, Creative Writing, Music and Psychology to bring fresh perspectives in addressing the urgent and global crisis of sleep.
Join Project Somnolence for a social networking event for artists, researchers, and practitioners interested in exploring sleep and dreaming.
Delicious catering will provided by Soul Food Sisters.
Supported by Research and Knowledge Exchange Fund, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Strathclyde, and The Dear Green Bothy, College of Arts & Humanities at the University of Glasgow.
