“Can Art Amend History?” is a statement by Titus Kaphar describing the intent of his work. We take this to not only mean American History but the narrative of Western Culture through manipulation, exclusion and self-serving presentation.
His work attempts to tell the stories of the people who have been left out of history and in art.
Project Orange promotes art and art education by providing a forum for the visual articulation of students, citizens and emerging artists.
