About this Event
Thank you for registering for the Faith Leaders Luncheon on September 29th at 11:30am!
According to the CDC, more than 81,000 Americans died of an overdose in the 12 months ending in May 2020 – the highest number of overdose deaths ever recorded in a 12-month period. In Central Florida, the numbers are simply staggering, with no end in sight.
We need your energy, we need your leadership, and we need your spiritual guidance to help save lives.
The overdose crisis isn’t a problem of moral failing. Science tells us that today’s overdose crisis is largely medical in nature, stemming from the vast numbers of young adults with untreated mental illness, and lives with no hope, promise, or future who accidentally ingest fentanyl – an illicit substance that is fatal in even the tiniest amounts.
To save this next generation, it will take the resolve and resources of the entire community. Please plan to join us for this luncheon on September 29th at 11:00 am to examine the role of faith communities in healing from the overdose crisis.
