Project Homeless Connect Kansas City (PHCKC) is a free event that connects individuals and families experiencing homelessness with the vital resources and care they need to move their lives forward, all on one day and in one place.At Project Homeless Connect, homeless participants are connected with difficult-to-obtain services that would otherwise take finances or months to secure, including health and medical care, identification procurement, employment and housing assistance, legal aid and more. In 2023, PHCKC served more than 300 individuals experiencing homelessness in Kansas City!
VOLUNTEER AT THIS YEAR'S EVENT:
You can make a difference in the Kansas City community. The success of Project Homeless Connect KC truly lies in the hands of its volunteers! We are asking community members and organizations to join us in helping move homeless lives forward by becoming part-day or full-day volunteers.
We need 200+ volunteers to help make this year's event a success! Positions include:
- Check-in/check-out
- Navigators ** Most Needed** (matched one-to-one with a homeless individual to help them through the event)
- Set-up and clean-up
- General volunteer needs as assigned
