Raise awareness of integrated project control systems, which incorporate 4D planning, to ensure successful project delivery.
About this Event

During this webinar Dale Healey, P.Eng., project controls professional, will be joined by project controls expert Jasmine & Simon, to discuss how robust project controls increase certainty on project outcomes. Dale and Jasmine both offer project controls services through LogiKal, who specialise in providing the industry with award winning project controls and performance management services. They both carry a wealth of knowledge when it comes to project controls and look to raise awareness regarding the power of this management style.

Today there is still a large portion of projects missing their time, cost, and quality objectives. Dale will lead the discussion on how project controls came to be and the role it plays in addressing poor performance, to increase project outcome certainty. The conversation will introduce project controls and outline what a mature team reflects, in terms of people, processes and systems. An overview of the benefits project controls provides, along with a list of common challenges faced during implementation will be presented and discussed.

This will then lead into the second portion of the presentation that will utilise both, London City Airport and Dornan data centre, as a case study to demonstrate the power of 4D & BIM as part of an integrated project controls system. Simon will introduce the concept of 4D planning and the positive impact it can have on projects when properly adopted. This will help answer the question of why it’s important to invest both time and money into 4D planning to full unlock all of its benefits. Similar to project controls there is a correct time to engage with 4D planners to ensure successful delivery, which Jasmine will go over, along with a series of pre-requisites.

Overall members can expect to raise their awareness of integrated project control systems, which incorporate 4D planning, to ensure successful project delivery.
