Let's use our skills as divers to benefit the ocean, with a Project AWARE Dive Against Debris and beach cleanup! 100% of the 'sign up' fee will be donated to Project AWARE too!We'll head down to the beach where we'll have an activity briefing before the divers gear up and get into the water, where we'll try and get as much rubbish out of the sea as we can! Think plastic bags, straws, fishing line - all the things that hurt our oceans.
Divers - we need certified divers to go diving with a buddy, and get as much trash out as possible. These divers are super shallow and we'll make sure that any newer divers are buddied up with a more experienced diver, so this is suitable for all certification levels!
Non-divers - we need you too! People who want to snorkel are extremely useful as spotters or helping the divers get their haul out of the water. If you'd rather stay dry, then we also need people on the shore helping to sort what comes out and also to collect rubbish from the beach itself.
