Die neu gegründete und sofort aktiv gewordene Initiative "Kultur mit allen!" organisiert vielfältigste kulturelle Aktivitäten, um die Kulturszene spartenübergreifend zu unterstützen, Menschen mit unterschiedlichsten, kulturellen Hintergründen in Dialog zu bringen und die Präsenz jener sozialdemokratischer Werte nachhaltig zu erhöhen, von denen wir alle seit vielen Jahrzehnten profitieren.Die neue Initiative bringt bereits in der ersten Phase nach den Corona-Lockerungen wieder Leben in die Grazer Kulturszene: Graz wird über den Sommer zur Bühne. Von den belebten Plätzen in der Innenstadt, über die Marktplätze bis hin zum Univiertel und den Hauptbahnhof.
Am Donnerstag dem 8. Juli 2021 um 16 Uhr verwöhnen unsere Ohren die Prohibition Stompers beim Straßenbahnabgang des Grazer Hauptbahnhofs:
"The Prohibition Stompers project was initiated in late 2016 in Graz, Austria. The band consists of seven early jazz enthusiasts from different corners of the world. Their choice of music brings us back to the era referred to as the golden age of jazz or the roaring 20s. This was a time full of optimism, a time when everything was possible. The economy was booming and the world saw its first mass use of automobiles, telephones, radio and other electric appliances. The media focused on celebrities – sports stars like Babe Ruth and movie stars like Charlie Chaplin. With all that the first pop-culture emerged. The music contained all the energy and a kind of madness of that era. People first started dancing to a very fast, rhythmical type of music – stomp. The band strives to recreate the spirit of the era filled with new energy."
