If you have some basic machine sewing skills and would like to learn how to make an item of clothing using a shop bought pattern this is a great course to start with! You will learn: how to measure yourself, read and understand a pattern to find your cutting out size, transfer pattern markings, layout and cutting out of pattern and fabric, start making up your garment.
Please note, we 'may' not have time in the 3-weeks to make up your completed garment (depending what you chose to do!) but this course will give you the understanding and knowledge you need to make a good start sewing in class. You'll have a bit of prep and homework in between too - sourcing your fabric and some cutting out, if you feel confident enough. Please bring your own 'Easy/beginner’ pattern to use such as an easy top, pj bottoms, skirt.
COST - £90 for the 3- consecutive Saturday course.
VENUE - Tesco Xtra Community Room, Newcastle Road, Sunderland (downstairs venue).
50% non-refundable deposit to secure your place. Balance to be paid 2-weeks prior to the workshop and a reminder will be sent out to you.
