About this Event
Hello Homeschoolers! We are so excited to welcome you to Tucson Village Farm.
We will start our day on the farm with a quick visit to meet the new GOATS in the TVF Animal Education Center. They are so cute and friendly!
After visiting the goats, we will head over to the garden to meet up with Farmer Alex and the TVF Farm Crew to pitch in and learn what it really takes to be a farmer! From laying compost and tilling, to planting and spacing, we will learn what it takes to get a garden bed growing from start to finish. We will go on a "snacking farm tour," and learn what we are eating and planting this time of year at TVF. And of course, we will be harvesting fresh veggies.
After our morning of farm work, we will head to the kitchen and prepare nutritious and delicious personal-sized farm pizzas using our farm sauce, cheese, and harvested veggies as toppings. Come dressed ready to work in close-toed shoes, a sun hat, and bring a water bottle.
Note: Min 10 students, Max 20 students. If we do not have 10 students, one week prior to the event, we will cancel the class and you will be refunded. With that said, spread the word, tell your friends, and let's fill the class! If the class is full, please join the waitlist.
