About this Event
Explore the 5 wonders of the world with this unique part-time Professional Certificate in Exeter, Devon.
This is an experiential course, exploring how we bring depth, intimacy and presence to relationship with others, with our world, and within ourselves.
We will discover and work creatively with mindfulness-based practices from ancient traditions to modern innovations, in individual, one-to-one and group forms, from sitting in stillness to moving in expressive inspiration.
A complete learning experience including mindfulness practice from the very beginning.
Participate in discussion of ideas, inspirations and philosophy, while always being embedded in experiential exploration rather than learning new theory.
Creatively explore approaches to transcending our limited sense of self (ego) and our limiting ways of meeting the other.
This course enables people to significantly and creatively expand their presence and connection in relationship, deepen their ability to support the healing process for clients, and also facilitate meaningful self-care as a practitioner, by focusing in depth on the transpersonal and spiritual aspects of human existence.

He has been practicing meditation techniques for over 40 years, based both on Western and Eastern approaches, with a particular leaning towards Zen and a strong preference for practical application over theoretical learning.
He originally studied Philosophy and Psychology at his home town University of Liverpool. Before becoming a counsellor, he worked for many years in community media production and broadcasting.
He also taught photography in adult education and video production for people with special needs.
He was a volunteer for the Samaritans for a number of years, which eventually led to seeking a professional qualification in counselling at Iron Mill.
