On behalf of the Medicine as a Science team, we are pleased to invite you to this year's third lecture. Our guest will be Professor Florian Steger, German medical historian and ethicist, who works as a Director at the Institute of the History, Philosophy and Ethics of Medicine at the University of Ulm. Professor Steger focuses, among other things, on the questions concerning research ethics and the ethics of clinical practice.Professor Florian Steger, born in Garmisch - Partenkirchen, studied medicine and classical philology and history at the University of Würzburg and Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. He became a university professor in 2016 and since then, he has also worked as the Director at the Institute of the History, Philosophy and Ethics of Medicine. Prof. Steger is also an International Visiting Professor in Latvia, Croatia, Poland and Russia.
Professor Steger will present on the topic "What about ethics in medicine?” The lecture will take place in person on Thursday, November 19th, in the Syllaba Lecture Hall at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine, starting at 4:30 PM. The presentation will be conducted in English and it will be a part of the TrimedJOB event. This lecture is funded by the Department of Foreign and External Relations of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine.
