He’s both a true hands-on, locally grown winemaker and, with 240 acres of vines, the largest family-owned winery in Germany’s Mosel region. He makes 30+ wines each vintage, from fully dry, off-dry and lusciously sweet Rieslings to complex and highly drinkable Pinot Noir. As Vinous said last year, Markus Molitor “is a force of nature.”
While many American wine lovers have a fairly simple perception of German wine, so much is happening in German wine these days that it’s time to dig in and catch up!
