About this Event
** We want the Procession Studio to be accessible to all. If you do not have funds to pay for this class, send an email to [email protected]. **
All Ages. All supplies included.
This class is for people who want to make a simple instrument to use during the Procession of the Species. The sound of falling rain is created by adding dried beans to a tube, into which nails have been inserted. We will supply the cardboard tubes, nails, and beans and decorating supplies. You supply the imagination to turn your project into your own personalized art. This is a good class for beginning artists, who will be able to complete this project within the alloted time.
Process:
Use a hammer to insert nails in a spiral pattern around the tube
Add dried beans
Seal cap to prevent beans from spilling out
Decorate rain stick with paint or other materials to personalize
If a child under 14 is attending the class, they must be accompanied by an adult but the adult doesn't have to pay for the class unless they also attend to make a rain stick. (Please note in comments when purchasing because there are limits to how many people can be in the studio at one time and we want to make sure we know the correct count in advance.)
