Join our LHF Agriculture Team for an intro into the world of processing and distillation. This class starts with a tour of our farm while discussing the history and uses of lavender, the different varieties that are commonly grown for oil production and the harvesting process. Visit our drying shed full of hundreds of hanging bunches and learn how to properly clean and prepare the lavender for distillation by hand screening. Step in our still house to learn the basics of distillation and gain knowledge on the benefits of lavender essential oil and hydrosol. Participants will leave with their very own lavender plant, a bottle of hydrosol, a sachet screened and filled by you and the knowledge and skills to continue processing and distilling lavender on your own, so you can enjoy the benefits of this beautiful plant for years to come.
This workshop is $45 per person and age 12 and over.
This is a rain or shine event.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the farm. Pre-Registration is required. Tickets are available for purchase up until 48 hours prior or until sold out.
