Artistic Exploration: In this unique project, the artist tries new techniques with UV-acrylic colors and regular acrylic colors in layers. As you navigate through the exhibition space, each painting reveals hidden images and creatures, brought to life by the interplay of different lights. The fusion of UV and regular acrylic colors creates a dynamic and ever-changing visual experience.

The exhibition features painted tables and chairs, as well as speakers with a record player, all painted with UV colors. “Into a Strange Light” is not just an exhibition; it’s an exploration of the unseen, a journey through the artist’s imagination illuminated by UV light.
Ilkka II (b.1988) is a Helsinki-based artist whose work blends organic forms with street art techniques, resulting in abstract compositions presented on a variety of materials. His work reflects a nuanced understanding of the intersection between nature-inspired aesthetics and contemporary urban artistry.
Since 2012, Ilkka II has been involved in organising graffiti workshops in collaboration with organisations such as the City of Vaasa, Red Cross Finland, UEFA, and Kyrö Distillery. In 2021, Ilkka contributed as a member of a group of postgraduate students to the “Forte & Crescendo” project. This initiative centred on coordinating the creation of murals designed by Jorma Hautala, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the city of Järvenpää.
Furthermore, he has been exhibiting regularly, and his artworks have been presented in galleries like Space81 Gallery in Turku, Galleria Salmi in Helsinki, Wasa Graffitilandia in Vaasa, and Ikuisen Kesän pop-up Galleria in Espoo.
