Historical traditions of craft will be connected with contemporary practices of self-care to foster a space where art, wellness, and community intersect.To begin, museum educator Lola Rael will explore a specific artwork within the historical and contemporary context of using craft as a therapeutic practice. The discussion will be followed by a supportive hands-on making session. Bring your portable work-in-progress—be it knitting, embroidery, or any other soft project— to craft together.
