PRIYA MEANS LOVE - 5K AWARENESS WALK

The "Priya Means Love" 5K Walk is an annual event that brings our community together to raise awareness and support for a wide range of meaningful causes. Each year, we highlight a different organization. This year, we are spotlighting children mental health and animal welfare. By joining us, you are participating in a meaningful event​ that brings awareness and support to these causes.​ A portion of the proceeds and 100% of the fundraising will go to Animal Care Zone and Drew CDC.​ Your involvement directly contributes to these vital organizations.

Since 1987, Drew Child Development Corporation (Drew CDC) has been committed to preparing at-risk children in South Los Angeles—including the Watts-Willowbrook and Compton communities—for lifelong success. Serving over 18,000 children and families each year, Drew CDC provides holistic support through education, mental health services, developmental programs, and caregiver resources. Animal Care Zone is dedicated to rescuing and caring for stray and homeless animals across India, the USA, and Northern Canada. In California, the organization actively rescues animals from overcrowded shelters, provides first aid and veterinary care, and supports sterilization and vaccination programs for dogs and cats. They also photograph and share urgent cases on social media to help find fosters and forever homes, while offering care and food for pets of the unhoused in Los Angeles. ​The 5K course is open for running or walking as much as you are able. This is not a timed race.
