The Charlottetown Privateers Football Club is seeking support for their presentation to the Parks & Recreation department to construct two multi-use turf fields with football uprights and endzones at Simmons. The meeting will take place at Charlottetown City Hall, and supporters are asked to arrive at 5:30 pm. The club has been without a permanent home field since the loss of their previous field on Longworth Avenue, and this new facility would not only benefit the Privateers but also other sport user groups in the community.
