About this Event
Hua De Hua Hua is a group show exhibit in our small yet lovely house and garden. There will be 12 artists showcasing drawings, paintings, installations, ceramics, and sound performances, both indoors and outdoors.
The playful pun we've created with Pinyin, emerged from the everyday life in our garden amongst the residents of diverse languages. The sound 'Hua' can embody a dual meaning, representing both 'flower' or 'drawing' in Mandarin. Drawing inspiration from the concept of "grafting," - the combining one plant with another to merge them into a unified entity and achieve new growth- how can we envision and nurture coexistence within this growth, transcending and embracing our distinct cultural backgrounds? What might a scene connect everyday life, art, and a garden look like? Through grafting, yet without imposing a hierarchy between them.
