Paper Lithography is a simple printmaking technique using a toner or laser printed image or a crayon drawing as the printing plate. By adding water and gum Arabic to the copy, we can then roll on R&F Pigment Sticks, as our printing ink. Participants will begin by learning to make Encaustic Paintings and Monotypes to be used as rich backgrounds for their prints. Participants are welcome to bring images to be copied in class, including drawings, illustrations and high-contrast photographs or work from fresh crayon drawings. No press is needed for these techniques. All levels welcome.
