Alongside instructor Kat Chudy, students will explore printmaking by studying the techniques of papermaking, kitchen lithography, monotyping, and intaglio. We will use a variety of traditional, contemporary, and DIY approaches to create works of art using traditional fine arts materials as well as common household items. Students will explore monotyping using plexiglass, ink, tools, and found textures. We will study the painterly printmaking technique, various ways to create a one-of-a-kind matrix, and ways to create monoprints with repeatable plates.
This class is part of our Adult Learning Program.
Classes are $40 for members, $50 for nonmembers
