Dream of setting the next trend in fashion or home decor? Ready to go beyond sewing and start designing the textles, patterns, and spaces around you?
This series of six workshops will provide a taster to introduce skills in fashion, interior design and surface pattern design in our fantastic industry-based studios, while providing opportunities to meet staff from the Creative Arts department.
This could be the starting point for an enjoyable and lucrative creative career and it’s absolutely free, just sign up below to book your place.
The after-school club may include introductions to areas such as:
- Printmaking and surface pattern techniques
- Fashion fundamentals
- Creative techniques with textiles.
Why should I attend?
This after-school club could serve as a valuable initial spark or preparation for various formal qualifications and career paths. In the short-term, this could mean coming to college and studying with us - we have something for a range of GCSE results!
- Creative Arts Certificate (Level 1): a foundation for those with minimal entry requirements, to help you gain the base skills needed to progress.
- Creative & Digital Industries (Level 2): a step toward more specialised study, giving you insight into digital creative practices.
- Art, Design & Fashion Textiles (Level 3): this is the most direct and relevant progression, focusing on fashion, design, and textiles/surface pattern techniques!
Please note: this is a series of six workshops. You are expected to attend each session, as you will progress your skills week-by-week.
