About this Event
Discover the art of printing in this ongoing, self-paced workshop.
Bring any designs, photos, or ideas you’d like to explore—or use inspiration from the world around you to develop unique motifs! Experiment with one-off prints, repeat patterns, half-repeats, and the art of motif creation while building your skills in design, carving, and printmaking techniques. This open, self-paced format allows you to explore, practice, and develop your own creative voice in printmaking.
A centuries-old technique, printmaking evolved from traditional woodblock and textile printing to the modern, diverse applications we see today. Printing began with carved woodblocks used to replicate patterns, religious texts, and images on textiles and paper, spreading across Asia and Europe, to pave the way for printed books, fine art, and even modern fabric design.
