What does the workshop cover?This workshop will give you the opportunity to create your own tea-light. There will be three designs available for you to choose from, the meadow, hopping hares and Christmas reindeers. They will be printed in a variety of colours for you to choose from and embellish on the day using a mix of fabrics and threads. The embellishing and sewing together can be done by hand or by machine. Once embellished, the print will be mounted around a wooden disc for use with an LED battery candle/tea light. The completed tea-lights measure approx. 11cm x 10cm.

What you need to bring
Please bring with you a basic sewing machine. You can choose to bring your own sewing machine with you, or we do have some machines available, please let us know on booking. Otherwise you can choose to hand sew.
Please bring threads in various colours and thickness, threads, small scraps of fabric, beads, buttons and sequins. Anything else you would like to bring along for embellishing. Along with approx. 38cm x 16cm light weight iron on interfacing and 38cm x 16cm medium weight interfacing. 11cm x 11cm cream felt, 0.5cm double sided table and 7cm high artificial LED candle.
The prints will be available to buy for £7.00 each. They will be printed in a variety of colours, so you will be able to purchase as many as you wish. The wooden bases are £1.50 each. They are 10cm in diameter & 1cm deep….similar to a round wooden coaster. Feel free to provide your own if you wish but if they’re not very thick you may need to stick two together.
Louise will bring along all the materials needed which can be purchased from her at a small cost on the day so don’t worry if you can’t get hold of everything.

This workshop is held upstairs at LilyBoo. Once upstairs there is a bathroom and kitchen on the same floor and refreshments are included.
