Print Wooden Festive Decorations

Working from your own design, you will design, cut and print a set of colour printed wooden tree decorations.

Using the professional quality equipment and materials at Carousel Print Studio, you will learn how to use our small lino printing press and leave with your own unique heirloom festive decorations.

This is an easy, fun short course suitable for total beginners. Book with a friend for a fun pre- Christmas treat.

Drawing skills are not necessary to enjoy this workshop, have fun layering pattern and colour for great decorative effects.

All materials and equipment will be provided.

We will be printing onto 10cm circular wooden discs which can be strung and hung.

Please bear this in mind when considering design ideas.

Simple designs and bold shapes work best for this process.

If you are using an existing design please check and respect the copyright.

Please wear old clothes as printing can get messy. Aprons will be provided.

Teas, coffee and biscuits are provided.

Carousel Print Studio is a not for profit charity based on the ground floor of Yorkshire Art Space, Exchange Place Studios in Sheffield. Carousel provide educational workshops in printmaking and opportunities for creatives in Sheffield, in a bright, warm, accessible and well equipped printmaking studio.

This course is led by Sheffield artist and printmaker Helen Darlington.

A graduate of Sheffield Hallam University,Fine Art. Helen has worked for several of the areas visual art institutions including Cupola Gallery, The Art House Wakefield and Site Gallery.

For the last twelve years Helen has traded as Robin’s Room. Making and selling fine linen home wares hand printed with her own intricate linocut designs.
