About this Event
Join us at LAH for some creative printmaking in response to a new poem about the Tweed (so new it’s not even published yet). It’s a chance to get your artwork into a book!
Written by Gala’s own Craig Aitchison in Borders Scots, the words explore the length of our river, from source to sea. Be inspired by a list of the sights, people, creatures and stories that Craig met along his way. Guided by Georgie Fay, use your favourite to create a unique image using different printmaking techniques.
Rosemary Everett will be making the words and images into a book; some of your prints could go into it. We will keep all of them at the end of the workshop but we will get your original artwork back to you later on.
Open to anyone; come for the whole time or just drop in for a little while (but please sign up here so we know numbers roughly). Please join us to celebrate the Tweed, books and getting inky together!
This is a free workshop as part of the LAH’s programme celebrating Book Week Scotland. It has been made possible by funding from Connecting Threads and Hands Up For Trad.
