About this Event
The symposium will focus on:
(i) Advances in Quantum Technologies and Imaging,
(ii) Photonics and Metamaterials,
(iii) Advances in Characterization Methods for Complex and Challenging Systems
(iv) Plasma Applications in Materials, and
(v) Advanced Manufacturing of Soft Materials
We will also have a panel discussion featuring regional innovation ecosystem and workforce development experts, this panel defines an ecosystem and describes how a functional ecosystem creates a continuous cycle of innovation and investment. From this foundation, panelists will spotlight efforts to support scaling innovation, so it results in economic impact and societal benefit. In particular, this panel will discuss 1) strategies and resources for getting tech out of the lab, helping it cross the “Valley of Death” and 2) leveraging regional workforce development efforts to align talent to photonics jobs.
