We are delighted to start the year with some incredible tools! Sara Ward-Thomas is a licensed clinical social worker with a deep passion for supporting individuals on their healing journey after trauma. This community class offers a gentle, trauma-informed exploration of how the body and nervous system respond to stress and threat. Participants will be guided to build awareness of their body’s signals, deepen connection to themselves, and explore movement as a tool for regulation and expression.
Through grounding, rhythmic movement, and somatic attention, we will practice listening to the body’s needs and responding with care and curiosity. The experience invites connection through movement, sound, and presence, with options to expand into more expressive motion as comfort allows. Emphasis is placed on safety, choice, and self-nurturing, creating a supportive space to reconnect with the body as a source of wisdom and resilience.
