Join us to celebrate PRIDE with a Kiddush Club featuring Scott Leibowitz, MD. Scott is a child & adolescent psychiatrist, Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services for the THRIVE Gender Development Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, and Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. No registration is required.Scott will speak to the ethics of gender care for minors, how it is being impacted by modern day societal and political discourse, and the overall impact on families and young people. As the grandson of a Holocaust survivor, and as someone who came out in the LGBTQ community while studying medical school in Tel Aviv, Scott's lived experience will enhance this discussion.
We also invite LGBTQ+ members of our congregation, and their loved ones, to take an aliyah during Shabbat morning services.
