Meeting Point: Meet at the Foyer / Entrance to the Library.
We'll start with a tour of the Cape Town Central Library. They have an outstanding collection of queer books, and a variety of services.
After the tour, we'll move to the Art Library portion of the library. Follow the stairs up to the mezzanine floor. Here we'll have some coffee and a social "Meet and Greet" where we can share ideas on books and what we have read. From there, those who have not yet, can register as members of the library and then explore their wonderful queer book selection.
Hopefully, some of us will be able to check out some fantastic queer literature. (And other)
Once you're done exploring and found some books, meet back at the coffee station to connect with fellow queer bookworms or make your way home.
If you have some spare queer books that you're open to exchanging, please bring them along.
Unwanted books can also be donated to the library, where others can have the pleasure of reading them.
This is a great event to attend on your own, even if you don't know anyone. And the perfect space to make new friends.
