A practice for Pride! with Serita Colette revitalize, connect and breathe
About this Event

Healing ourselves is not a performance or ideal destination, but a journey inward to slow down so that we may live in closer harmony with our desires and our human right to receive care amidst adversity in our lives.

The volatile rhetoric and actions of state sanctioned white supremacy deeply impact our psyche, sense of safety and wellbeing. This practice is an intervention to the idea that LGBTQIA+ people should continue to live in the margins of violence, inequity, inequality and political warfare. Our collective truth: We deserve care and space to breathe. This is an opportunity to imprint that somatic reminder into your being that YOU deserve care.

In this one of a kind practice Serita will offer a short dharma talk on protection practices and how to implement them into worldly life, followed by a yoga and ayurvedic practice. This is not your average yoga session. This is less about what your body can or cannot do and more about building awareness, discernment and space to breathe. All are welcome to stay after practice for a 45 minute social hour to connect, build and be in relationship with beloveds in our Los Angeles community.

Price: This practice is Free for TGNC Black people, brown, two spirit and indigenous folks! Especially aforementioned folks coming from low or no income.

Everyone else: Donation! If you consider yourself a financially stable accomplice to liberation for all, consider making a $25-$40 donation. Can’t make it, but still want to donate?
